The ST Series is designed for low-level stair and edge lighting where the beam needs to stay downward and close to the walking surface.
Use step fittings to mark level changes, stair runs, deck edges, and masonry steps without washing the full area in light.
Where to use ST Series
- Stair runs: Use ST1 or ST2 every 2-3 steps, mounted low, to keep light on the tread.
- Deck edges: Use ST1 where a surface-mounted fitting can be fixed cleanly to the vertical face.
- Masonry and concrete stairs: Use ST2 where a recessed linear fitting is required.
- Retaining walls beside steps: Use step lighting to mark circulation without relying on overhead lighting.
- Low-level transitions: Use ST Series where level changes need clear visual guidance at night.

Selecting the right step light
Choose ST1 for surface-mounted stair faces, deck edges, retaining wall steps, and retrofit situations where a recessed housing is not practical.
Choose ST2 for new masonry, concrete, or detailed hardscape work where the fitting can be recessed into the stair face. ST2 requires the LUM-ACC-CAN-ST2 installation canister.
Mount step fittings low and direct the beam downward. Avoid placing fittings at eye level on short stair runs or seating walls.
