Trade Support
We help you specify, select, and supply — so you can focus on the build.
Send us your plans. We'll recommend the right fixtures, beam angles, and transformers — and have them ready when you need them.
Start a ProjectOutdoor lighting shouldn't be the thing that holds up your project.
Most residential projects treat exterior lighting as an afterthought. Plans come back from the architect with a few circles on the landscape drawing and a note that says "lighting — TBC." Someone needs to turn that into a fixture list, a transformer calculation, and a delivery schedule.
If you're a builder, you probably don't have time to compare beam angles. If you're a landscaper, you know the effect you want but not necessarily the product that creates it. If you're an electrician, you need specifications that are code-compliant and actually match the site.
That's what LUMINI does. We take your project information — plans, photos, a phone call — and turn it into a lighting specification you can work from. No charge for the guidance. No obligation to order.
How It Works
Four steps from plans to delivery.
Send Your Project Information
Email us your site plans, landscape drawings, or even a few photos of the area. Include any notes about the effects you're after — path lighting, facade washing, garden highlighting, or a combination. The more context, the better our recommendations.
You send: plans, photos, or a brief.
Receive a Lighting Recommendation
We review your project and come back with a recommended fixture list — specific products, beam angles, colour temperatures, and mounting positions. For larger projects, we'll include transformer sizing and circuit grouping suggestions.
We send: a tailored fixture and specification list.
Confirm the Specification
Review our recommendations. Ask questions, make changes, swap fixtures — this is a conversation, not a take-it-or-leave-it quote. Once you're happy with the specification, we'll lock in pricing and lead times.
You confirm: final product selection and quantities.
Supply and Delivery
We prepare your order and coordinate delivery to site or to your preferred pickup point in Melbourne. All products ship with installation guides, wiring diagrams, and transformer documentation.
We deliver: products, guides, and support.
You don't need finished plans to get started.
We work with whatever you have. Here's what helps us give you the best recommendation:
Site Plans or Drawings
Landscape plans, architectural site plans, or even a hand-drawn sketch showing the areas you want lit. PDF, JPG, or photo of a printout — all fine.
Photos of the Site
Daytime photos of the house, garden, paths, and any features you want to highlight. Photos taken from different angles help us understand depth and scale.
A Brief or Notes
A few lines about what you're trying to achieve: "Warm path lighting down the side of the house" or "Highlight the three feature trees in the back garden." Rough notes are perfectly fine.
What you get back.
Every recommendation is project-specific. No generic brochures. No upselling.
A Fixture Recommendation List
Specific products matched to each area of your project — with beam angles, colour temperatures, and mounting notes. Not a catalogue dump — a curated list for your site.
Transformer & Circuit Guidance
Wattage calculations, transformer sizing recommendations, and suggested circuit groupings. Enough for your electrician to price and plan the install.
Pricing and Lead Times
Transparent trade pricing with current stock levels and delivery estimates. No hidden costs. If something has a lead time, we'll flag it early so it doesn't hold up your program.
Built for the way you already work.
Builders
You need a fixture list and pricing to include in your build cost. We provide product recommendations, trade pricing, and delivery timed to your construction schedule.
Landscapers
You know the effect but not always the product. We match fixtures to your planting design — uplights for feature trees, path lights for walkways, wash lights for retaining walls.
Architects
You need specifications detailed enough for tender documentation. We provide product data, beam angle diagrams, and technical specs you can include in your project notes.
Designers
You're specifying a look and feel, not a product code. We translate your lighting intent into specific fixtures and placement recommendations that your installer can work from.
Electricians
You need to know what's landing on site before you wire it. We provide circuit groupings, transformer specifications, cable run guidance, and installation documentation.
Questions we get asked.
Is there a cost for the lighting recommendation?
No. The initial recommendation is part of how we work. We invest time upfront because it leads to better project outcomes — and because it's how we'd want a supplier to work with us.
Do I have to buy from LUMINI after getting a recommendation?
No obligation. The recommendation is yours to use however you see fit. Most professionals come back because the specification saves them time, but there's no pressure.
How quickly do you respond?
Most initial recommendations are returned within 1–2 business days. Larger or more complex projects may take slightly longer. We'll confirm a timeline when we receive your brief.
What if I only have a rough idea — no proper plans?
That's fine. Some of our best projects started with a phone call and a few photos. We can work from minimal information and refine as your project develops.
Do you supply to residential projects only?
Our focus is residential, but we also support boutique hospitality and small commercial projects where the same architectural approach applies. If you're unsure, send us the details and we'll let you know.
Can you coordinate delivery to site?
Yes. We can deliver to your site address or to a nominated pickup point in Melbourne. We'll work with your project timeline to make sure products arrive when you need them.
