The S Series is designed for above-ground accent lighting in planted areas, garden beds, and architectural landscapes.
Use spike fittings where the beam position needs to be adjusted on site. The range covers compact shrub lighting, general landscape accent lighting, and narrow-beam feature lighting for trees, sculpture, and facade details.
Where to use S Series
- Shrubs and planting: Use S1 or S2 around 300 mm from the target to lift texture without over-lighting the bed.
- Small to medium trees: Use S2 for general canopy and trunk structure where a 40 degree beam is appropriate.
- Feature trees: Use S3 where a narrower beam is needed to hold light on the trunk or upper structure.
- Sculpture and landscape elements: Use S3 for tighter control and reduced spill into surrounding areas.
- Softscape installations: Use spike mounting where future plant growth or final aiming may need adjustment.

Selecting the right spike light
Choose S1 for compact planting, low shrubs, and smaller targets where a lower output fitting is more controlled.
Choose S2 for general landscape accent lighting, medium trees, and planting masses that need a broader 40 degree beam.
Choose S3 for feature trees, vertical structure, sculpture, and facade accents where a 15 degree beam gives better control.
For small trees, place the fitting approximately 300-600 mm from the trunk. For larger trees, increase the offset and consider using multiple fittings to avoid flattening the form.
